Seeing as this is my first post, as you may suspect that I am pretty new to this whole blogging thing... So let me tell you a little bit about me and why I am starting this little adventure into the blogging world. Here we go: My whole life I have always been the "artsy" type. When I was little I liked arts and crafts and what not, but as I grew up I realized that I really sucked at "actual art" (drawing, painting, musical instruments, dance, etc.). So, I kind of went on a search to find what I liked to do, in essence I was trying to find my talent and/or my purpose. My parents were great they put me in all kinds of sports some being: t-ball, swimming, basketball, dance, and more. But sports weren't really my "thing". I tried again, this time with instruments I went from playing piano to violin to cello to viola to bells to drums, I mean you name it I probably tried to play it, but I kind of sucked at all of those too, or at least I didn't want to stick with them. Next came singing and acting lessons, and this was actually something I really enjoyed and was fairly good at, but I HATED music theory so singing and acting lessons were not for me.
The one thing I always came back to was writing, whether it was songs, poetry, or creative articles I love writing. The second thing that I just recently found out I love to do is photography, granted I am only a beginner, but still I love to photograph everything and everyone :) That is essentially why I am starting this blog, it is my creative outlet to the world, it incorporates everything that I love.
This is to me a kind of experiment, will I stick with it? is sharing my writing and photography and opinions with the world something I will end up loving? I guess you and I will both have to wait and see! Meanwhile, I hope that some people out there in Internet world will like or maybe even be inspired by what I write, but if not you can just get a laugh that is good enough for me.
In conclusion to my very first post I want to make this point: if you are out there and you haven't found your passion or talent, don't you worry, in time you will find what you love, really you will. And when you do find it RUN with it, learn all you can and fly :) I believe that God gave everyone unique talents to use to his glory, so yes YOU are important and YOU have purpose.
One of the most encouraging bible verses I have ever read is Jeremiah 29:11 it says: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" The Lord has a plan and purpose and future for EACH and EVERY person, don't put your purpose to waste, do a little searching, find what you love, and USE IT to God's glory.
